At the English District Convention Banquet on June23, Bishop David Ritt recognized a variety of people who had served the district in various capacities during his nine-year administration. I was recognized for having served as Chair of the Public Relations committee during those nine years.
Founded in 1873, Immanuel Lutheran Church in South Chicago (in the shadow of the Skyway Bridge) has been without residential pastoral care for 15 years. I am privileged to provide Word and Sacrament ministry to this "little band" of God's people on Sunday mornings.
